Spa Parts Depot, a subsidiary of Rosebud Industries, Inc., was founded by Ron Smith and Brian Roble who have over 40 years combined experience in the spa and hot tub business. Smith and Roble also own American Jetted Bathtubs, the former bathtub line for Caldera Spas. Roble is owner and operator of Caldera Spas-Retail Showrooms with five retail locations in San Diego, California, and is the largest independent distributor of Caldera Spas in the world.

Smith and Roble wanted to provide customers with easy access to expert information and a simple, secure way to order products, supplies, parts and accessories. They saw a need to offer a wide selection of quality parts for many brands of spas, hot tubs and other therapeutic health and leisure products. They recognized the value of having an extensive inventory in stock ready to be shipped immediately anywhere in the world. Committed to satisfying the customer, they created Spa Parts Depot.

Both Smith and Roble started their spa and hot tub careers in 1978 with Custom Fiber Engineering, Inc. What began as a garage operation became the parent manufacturing company for Caldera Spas, which today is a multi-million dollar conglomerate. The Caldera name is recognized worldwide for quality, comfort and workmanship.

Ron Smith, the tooling genius behind the Caldera spa and bathtub molds, was in charge of new product development. He was responsible for the tooling, hydraulics, jet placements, and design efficiency for the outdoor spa line and indoor bathtub line.

Brian Roble was manufacturing manager as well as administrative vice president. He oversaw daily production of Caldera's outdoor spa line and indoor bathtub line. He was responsible for all test procedures and approvals for both IAPMO (International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials) and UL (Underwriters Laboratory).

After 20 years of participating in the development of Caldera Spas, Smith and Roble left Caldera manufacturing in 1998 to form Rosebud Industries, Inc. and its subsidiaries American Jetted Bathtubs and . Roble (B.A. Roble, Inc.) owns Caldera Spas-Retail Showrooms.

Long time residents of San Diego, Smith and Roble are both married, have children, and enjoy making their living in San Diego, one of the garden spots on this earth.
